You may be required to submit a written assignment via a Quercus course.

Your instructor can request that you blazon your written consignment directly into a text input box on the assignment page or ask that you attach and upload a file (such equally a Word .doc or similar).

For the initial consignment submission: the button previously labeled Submit Assignment volition now read Start Assignment.

For assignments that allow multiple submissions: for subsequent submissions the button that previously read Re-submit Assignment will now read New Attempt.

Notes:

  • Your instructor may apply the Submission Reassignment feature to provide comments on your submission and re-assign the assignment to you. The consignment volition re-announced in the Listing View on the Dashboard with the instructor's feedback and y'all tin can resubmit the assignment for boosted feedback from your instructor.
  • If you lot are required to utilise your webcam for a file upload assignment, you will be prompted past your browser to give permission to use your camera.
  • Turn off any programs that might interrupt your assignment submission by overloading your organisation'southward processor (e.1000., Discord, Twitter, IM, email, etc.)
  • Brand certain pop-ups are allowed earlier submitting the assignment.
  • Avoid running programs in the background that may consume large amounts of bandwidth (e.g., do Not use Netflix, YouTube, streaming internet Tv or other programs that require high bandwidth).
  • Only accept one browser window open unless otherwise specified past your instructor, and avert opening multiple tabs.
  • Do the practise assignment if made available by your professor.

Confirming your Submission

You should meet confirmation that your submission has been received, as pictured below.

If you encounter the error message below - Submit Failed, please try once again, please check your Internet settings and retry submitting past selecting the Submit Assignment button.

Help with technical issues

If you encounter a technical trouble while uploading your consignment, please inform your instructor equally before long as possible and too provide the information below using the Report a Problem with Submitting an Consignment in Quercus for Students UTM Service Portal course.

  • Date and time trouble occurred
  • Brief description of the problem

Embedding a Video in Quercus


Below are instructions for embedding a video into a Quercus folio Give-and-take Mail, Consignment or Quiz Entry using the Rich Content Editor

1. In the Rich Content Editor box, click on the vertical 3 dot carte;

Language Settings

Adapted from the UTM Department of Geography, Geomatics and Surround: Unless otherwise instructed by your instructor, please make sure that your language preference on Quercus is ready to English (Canada). To bank check this, on Quercus at the left-hand side of the site get to: Account --> Settings --> Edit Settings (button on the right-manus side) --> Language dropdown carte should be gear up to Organization Default (English (Canada)) and then click on the Update Settings button.

Note: Also delight make sure to disable translation tools (such as Google Translate) in your browser's tool bar.
