Tin anyone ostend that this specific version actually does play "Bolero" in "The Bomber", or is the side A characterization a misprint as pictured?
Forgot to mention at the vinyl is a splatter grayness color that was no mentioned in Discogs clarification.
I purchased and simply received an unopened version of this LP and admittedly love it. The song the Bomber is admittedly beautiful with the added "Bolaro". That was my main reason for buying it! The remainder of the LP is also very clean and proficient sounding. Very happy with my copy and purchase.
Great sounding pressing. Dynamic, quiet, and punchy. Another groovy release from Mofi.
has the 45 rpm, tiptop 40, AM radio, my wife's version of The Bomber.
The bomber, what an amazing song I can't get enough of it.....🤘🏻

This re-create sounds better than my new Mofi. I am keeping this and selling the Mofi. This album is a nice example of a cracking sounding classic album. I'm extremely happy with this pressing and encounter no reason to search for anything else!
THANK Y'all DISCOGS FOR ANSERWERING BACK...I Wait Frontwards O PLAYING IT!! Thanks Once more....DAVID SMITH

Most twoscore years ago on a beautiful fall afternoon, an afternoon but like this one, the James Gang rode into my life. So equally my hand moved across my vinyl this morning, there must have been some sort of genetic musical memory that acquired me to stop right hither ... and I tell y'all true, I tin nigh smell 1970 and the ragtop of my MGB warming in the sun, while images of Halloween rushed past me as I headed out of town in search of open up backroads.
This is the album for which virtually people remember the James Gang, and that's a shame because their other releases offer a variety of actually bang-up cloth, though all in all, this is their knock'em expressionless release. The record opens with "Funk 49," reminiscent of their initial offerings, and while they draw deeply from those first offerings, James Gang stride out lightyears from that betoken in their career, especially with this 2d album coming so quickly on the heals of their kickoff. This was a stunning tape, ane that picked upward right where Todd Rundgren left off, layered and mixed from psychedelic lessons learned from The Beatles Magical Mystery Bout and of course from Led Zeppelin 2 and their heavy dejection influences. Impossible to be missed is the dimensional body and weight of Dale Peters' probing depression-end bass lines that resonate the floorboards. Add to that an injection an undertone of funk that even Sly Stone would accept been proud of, paved the mode for nearly every aspect of the stoner rock genre, influencing Aerosmith and countless others, and while in concert ... may have been THE greatest jam band after The Grateful Dead.
It was truly a time of experimentation with the James Gang blending everything from Rock to Funk with the sweet strings of violins, bass, cellos, and tiny textured tappings of the piano's white keys. "Tend My Garden" is as as trippy as the song "Collage" from the Yer Anthology release, and as equally moving. But don't get thinking they've gone soft, "Woman" rocks your back teeth also as anything you lot volition ever come across. I simply don't discover much to complain about with this record as the production is outstanding, there's nothing sloppy with the playing by any of the band members and when that guitar option slides downwards the strings I'm left to wonder if they knew they had only adult a signature mark. One of the things that makes this record so great is that James Gang seem to hold back just plenty, leaving yous waiting for them to push through hard, as almost bands from this era did ... yet they don't, they concord you right on the edge with marvelous chord changes and outstanding numbers that will have you hit the repeat button more than once.
James Gang became known every bit the stoner's band and I must agree that that brand is well deserved and is stamped deeply into the brains of most of us from the day. It'southward a perfect October afternoon out there, put the top downwardly, let the wind accident through your hair as James Gang takes you rollin'.
"Wow man [cough cough], I dig this band the most."
A side note: I'm sure that fans have stumbled upon the issue regarding the censored versions of Rides Once more, with the abbreviated story going something like this this: All original kickoff edition versions of this album contain a suite at the end of side ane entitled "The Bomber." Only the original first pressings of the album contain this three part suite, as shown in the track list accompanying this entry, which includes a 1:25 minute segment titled "Bolero," suggesting a total running fourth dimension for the suite of seven:04 minutes.
John Revell's estate threatened legal action for the not-authorized use of "Bolero" when the start records hit the store shelves. Therefore, the powers that be, rather than fighting or paying, removed "Bolero" from all future pressings, shortening the suite to 5:46 minutes. That existence said, ABC Records plain was not able to become new disc labels printed in time to comply for the second edition, the censored pressings, many copies were issued with the original spindle characterization listing "Bolero," even though it was edited out for those copies. And so, simply considering you notice a copy with "Bolero" printed on the label does not guarantee that it is present.
Now, every bit to the Mobile High Allegiance vinyl pressing, I can assure y'all that the full original anthology has been reissued with bright audio quality. The thing was settled with the estate of John Revell, with the estate coming to realize that gratuitous publicity is meliorate than royalties sometimes, as fans of Rides Again were actively seeking out and paying for copies.
*** The Fun Facts: There was no one in the ring named James, the proper noun was taken from the infamous wild west outlaw outfit, The James Gang.
Walsh used something here called an Echoplex equipped slide guitar, its furnishings and responses are immediate, and while I've never seen one up close and personal, it's a dream I cherish.
As to the encompass photograph, to which Joe Walsh says, "I recall the cover shoot for Rides Once again fondly. We'd absolutely no cover budget whatsoever, but our road manager, Tom Wright, was a fine photographer. We were on the route, playing this modest guild in western Massachusetts. In those days, we had no money for hotels either, so we were staying with a band we met in Cleveland. They had a huge house they shared with a motorcycle gang, and we were welcome there. One morning, Tom was in the mood to take some photos and he kept eyeing those cute bikes. Only it was January, and nosotros were all hesitant to ask the bikers if we could have their bikes out into a foot of snow. Tom finally asked and they were extremely excited to be a part of the shoot, though they could have just been high from the night earlier. Nosotros were blown away when they started the bikes right there in the living room and rode them right off the front porch into the snow. To this day, I love that photo!"
More than sad, on the 25th of June 2019, information technology was revealed that all of the James Gangs master recordings were destroyed in the 2008 Universal Studio fire, along with hundreds of other impressive artists.

This is the best I've ever heard this album sound. Fantastic Mofi!
